The Gibson SOLA Platform is a 'digital to biological converter' that is transforming biological research by empowering scientists to create the DNA they need, when they need it.

Traditional chemical synthesis produces DNA one base at a time, accumulating errors over many cycles as the DNA grows longer. The Gibson SOLA Platform uses a different hybridization-based synthesis that enriches for the correct molecule at each cycle and produces uniquely high-quality DNA, resulting in over 80% full-length product.

  • Uniquely high-quality: DNA with >80% full-length sequences comes right off of the synthesizer, removing the need for multiple rounds of downstream purification (ex: HPLC).
  • Reduce costs: Stop paying for dedicated HPLC columns that are required by traditional synthesis.
  • Make what you need: Generate DNA or mRNA with secondary structures and/or high GC content.

What is the fidelity of synthetic DNA, prior to any additional purification?

As measured by PacBio® HiFi NGS, 90-99% of sequences were error-free directly off of the synthesis platform. No further purification was performed.
