The Gibson SOLA Platform is a 'digital to biological converter' that is transforming biological research by empowering scientists to create the DNA they need, when they need it.

Traditional chemical synthesis produces DNA one base at a time, accumulating errors over many cycles as the DNA grows longer. The Gibson SOLA Platform uses a different hybridization-based synthesis that enriches for the correct molecule at each cycle and produces uniquely high-quality DNA, resulting in over 90% full-length product.

How does high-quality DNA eliminate cloning from protein expression workflows?

The high fidelity of the Gibson SOLA Platform enables cloning-free workflows for expression. By adding regulatory elements directly to the sequence during synthesis, you can transfect linear expression templates directly off the synthesis line in about a week. In addition, if your workflow can be supported by cell-free protein synthesis systems, timelines from sequence to protein can be as short as three days. This removes the need for E. coli as a host, streamlining the entire workflow without sacrificing fidelity.

What is the fidelity of E.coli-less DNA?

As measured by PacBio® HiFi NGS, 90-99% of sequences were error-free directly off of the synthesis platform. No further purification was performed.
